The 2017 Porsche 718 Cayman has come out just shortly after the debut of the 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster. The Cayman S and the 718 Cayman will make their first appearance at the Auto Show in Beijing, and similar to the roadster, they will get novel turbocharged flat-four engines, replacing the flat-six ones in the earlier models. The external design of the next gen Cayman will be similar to that of Porsche Boxster under its waist. The new version 718 Cayman comes outfitted with a bit broader front part with a fresh bumper, broader air intakes, restyled slenderer daylight running lamps, and a reformed middle-mounted grille. The new-fangled vehicle also comes outfitted with innovative bi-xenon headlights of Porsche, plus the discretionary units with four-stage daylight running lamps.

When observed from the side, the new version 718 Cayman features an analogous shape, similar to that of its forerunner, but it features pioneering character stripes over and under the side intakes, revised doorknobs, lacking recess covers and bulkier side skirts. It also comes equipped with fresh side mirrors and 19-inch diameter alloy wheels as standard and 20-inch diameter alloy wheels as an option.
At the rear, it acquires the most impressive tweaks.

The back face comes outfitted with revamped taillights and deck top, analogous to those of the Boxster. The tail lamps come outfitted with the innovative 3D LEDs of Porsche with four-step brake lights and get a black narrow piece with “Porsche” inscription beefier side skirts between them. Other outside changes comprise 718 Cayman emblems, a modified diffuser with a rectangular exhaust tube for the base version and a pair of spherical outlets for the S version.
